Shelters: HUD A - Susie (Family), part 1 (no services)

All applicable steps of this practice case must be completed satisfactorily by [DATE] at 5pm or your training will be closed, and a designated authorized representative of your agency will need to re-submit the required forms for you to be trained, at which point you will be required to start over from the beginning.

The first part of your practice case is to enter the client "Susie" and her family into the training site. To assist you in doing so, we've developed the following training materials and guides:

  • Training Video: Shelter Family Entry Basics (Formerly ShelterPoint) (password: CommunityServices)

Please watch this interactive training video. It is about 30 minutes long and goes through all of the steps required to create a client and enter them into your project in the Shelters module.

  • Workflow: Shelters Workflow for Family Clients in HUD Projects (pdf)

This workflow guides you through the steps of entering, updating, and exiting clients from HUD-funded projects. We strongly encourage you to utilize this document while entering your practice case, and that you keep it handy while you finish the entire practice case and while entering real clients into the live site.

  • Practice Case: Susie Shelters-CoC-ESG-HOPWA-Part-1 Family (pdf)

This form should be treated as if it were an intake form. Utilize the information on the form to create the client record and to enter the client into the project.
