BusinessObjects ReportCollection

There are a lot of custom reports in BusinessObjects and it can be tricky to know which report you should use, or what reports we even have. To address these issues, we have developed the ReportCollection. This is a searchable library of all of ICA Missouri's custom reports that are available to HMIS users with a BusinessObjects licenses.

The ReportCollection is organized by report name, primary use, location, CoC, and description. It’s easily searchable and can be filtered several ways. It is updated in real time and so is the most accurate reflection of available HMIS reports. Behind the scenes, our team documents versions, bugs, user suggestions, release dates, and more to best help our users get the data they need.

How will this help me?

We want to make sure that you can get the data you need out of the HMIS. This ReportCollection will help you to know about all the reports we have available so you can find the report that meets your needs.

For example, if you need to check your data quality, you can look through all our Data Quality reports to find the one that is right for you (whether that's the ROI Records Validation Report or the HoH and Client Location DQ Report). If you have to run a report to submit to a funder, you can easily scroll through all our Funding reports.

ReportCollection

You can access the ReportCollection here or browse through it below!

This report collection is a live database that is updated in real-time as we make report updates or add new reports.

How do I use this?

Each row in the ReportCollection reflects a different report in our custom reporting tool, BusinessObjects. The reports are grouped by Primary Use (see teal boxes in figure below). Scroll through to see reports dedicated to Housing, Funding, Data Quality, Outcomes, and Other. You can look across the columns to see all the information (see table below for descriptions) or click on the expansion button (in red box above) to look at an individual report record.

Column Description
Report Name Name of the report as found in the reporting tool.
Region Identifies which CoC(s) the report applies to. General Data Quality reports will apply to all CoCs, while funding, housing, or other reports may be specific to a certain CoC.
Primary Use The primary purpose/use of the report. A report can have multiple uses, but only the primary use is noted here.
Report Purpose A short description of the overall purpose of the report.
Version Description A description of the report in its current version, including recent updates.
Link to TipSheet Link to the report tipsheet on ICA Missouri's KnowledgeBase, where available.

Personally Identifiable Information Indicates if the report contains Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Reports containing PII cannot be sent without protection, such as encryption.

When you expand a report record, you will see all of the information laid out more clearly. From here, you can get a sense of whether this is the right report for you, click on the link to the TipSheet that will tell you exactly how to run the report, or confirm if the report has Personally Identifiable Information - in which case you want to take care to protect the information before sharing it.
